Scents and Smells of Fall

I LOVE fall. It is my favorite season of the year. And the only time of the year I miss living up north. Corn Mazes, Pumpkin picking, football, watching the leaves change color…..and feeling the seasons first crisp cool air. When we lived in Indiana our neighbors would do camp fires in their backyard and we have so many memories of sitting with them around the fire trying to stay warm and eating and drinking yummy fall treats. And us not forget that first day you dig out the crock pot and whip up the seasons first chili or strew. Yum….

Now don’t get me wrong Florida still has a fall. The humidity FINALLY drops, we have farms that do fall festivals, etc., but it is not the same. Now that I have a child I want to try and recreate my favorite memories of my youth as much as possible. At some point we will have to take a trip up north to show him snow. Every child should be able to build a snowman once. lol. In the meantime, I will be whipping up some Chili this fall and having him help us carve his first pumpkin face.

I am excited that this season I will be able scent our home with essential oils. See below for some fall blends and get your creativity started and create your own. What is great about essential oils are they are natural. No synthetic fragrances, no ingredients you can’t pronounce or worry if they are detrimental to you health. Nature at its best.
